Chiefs' Long wobbly after shot to head

Published Oct. 25, 2009 8:13 p.m. ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Lance Long has gingerly walked off the field after taking a hard hit from San Diego linebacker Tim Dobbins. Long, promoted from the practice squad before Sunday's game, was injured on Kansas City's first drive of the second half when he took a shot to the head from Dobbins on a crossing route. Long tried to get up, wobbled to the left, then to the right before an official stepped in and got him to take a knee. Kansas City's training staff came out and helped Long to the bench.
