Auburn fans might disagree with the latest roster moves in San Diego.

The Chargers released cornerback/returner Chris Davis, whose 100-yard return in the 2013 Iron Bowl made him a legend in Alabama.

Davis showed promise as a pro, too. He appeared in 12 games and averaged 25.1 yards per kick return while contributing on defense.

But the Auburn folk hero suffered a preseason concussion that made it tough for the Bolts to keep him on their active roster. So they made these four additional cuts to get to the NFL's 75-player limit yesterday:

CB Chris Davis

WR Torrence Allen

OL Melvin Meggs

S Gordon Hill
