The Arizona Cardinals are trying to save their season, while the Minnesota Vikings are hoping for the same on Sunday.

We still have a handful of weeks left in the NFL season, but already there are two one-time Super Bowl contenders playing fir their lives. The Cardinals and Vikings are both still alive in the playoff hunt but whoever loses this game today is likely going to be done.

Bruce Arians and the Cardinals stroll into Minneapolis with a putrid 4-4-1 record, one that should be 4-5 had it not been for a lucky tie against the Seahawks. Something is just off about the Cardinals, and a loss will drop them to a record that will be hard to rebound with if they want to make the playoffs.

The same goes for the Vikings, as they need a win today to break their four-game losing streak. They looked like they could go undefeated this year just a handful of weeks ago, but haven’t won since October and can’t afford to continue this dangerous downward spiral.

It’s only Week 11 of the NFL season, but already the season is on the line for two major franchises. At one point in time this season, both the Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings were favorites to meet up in the NFC title game for a trip to the Super Bowl. Instead, the two teams are meeting in the middle of the season with their Super Bowl dreams likely on the line.

Pick: Vikings 24, Cardinals 21
