Browns to wear all-brown uniforms on Sunday
They’ve tried the Kardiac Kids-style brown and orange, and they’ve donned their whitest of whites, but this Sunday against the Oakland Raiders, the Browns are trying out a whole new look.
Perhaps trying to replicate the success they found in all-white against the Tennessee Titans, the Browns are now going with the exact opposite: brown from neck to toe. Brown jerseys. Brown pants. Brown socks. Needless to say, it’s a lot of brown.
This is the first appearance of the brown-on-brown-on-brown combination of the team’s new uniform kit, unveiled earlier this year, but it isn’t the first time the team has worn brown jerseys and pants together.
In October 2013, the Browns debuted an all-brown look against the Buffalo Bills -- the first time the team had worn the monochromatic combination in its 67-year history. It wasn’t met with rave reviews.
In fact, USA TODAY called the look “hideous, even for the Browns.”
