Broncos rookie LB Shane Ray sustains MCL injury

Broncos rookie linebacker Shane Ray hurt his right knee in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. The team his return was questionable.

Ray, who was replacing linebacker DeMarcus Ware, was helped off the field by trainers. He was later carted off with a towel over his head.

Early indications are it's an MCL injury that could have him out about a month, FOX Sports 1's NFL insider Mike Garafolo reported. 

After being selected No. 23 overall in this pas year's NFL Draft, Ray has performed well in spot duty racking up two sacks.
