Brandon Fusco figuring things out as Vikings' left guard

The Minnesota Vikings decided to switch Brandon Fusco's position from right to left guard back in the spring, but he's still taking training camp reps to get used to the transition.

"It’s just the balance of your stance and how you get out of those stances, and keeping your weight on the inside of [your other] foot. It’s just different technique," Fusco said, via Matt Vensel of the Star-Tribune. "It’s basically everything you learn on the right is opposite on the left. It’s something you have to get used to."

Fusco, 27, is a former sixth-round selection who started 31 of 32 games at right guard from 2012-2013. Last year, he played only three games before a torn pectoral muscle ended his season.

The fifth-year pro claims to be fully healed from the injury.

"I’ve really had no problems so far," Fusco said, per the Star-Tribune. "Health-wise, I feel great. Nothing is bothering me. So I’m ready to go and I’m excited."

With Fusco starting at left guard spot, fourth-round rookie T.J. Clemmings -- a converted tackle -- is in line to take over his old right guard position.
