The Cincinnati Bengals apparently couldn’t take Mike Nugent’s extra-point misses anymore. The Bengals announced they cut the 34-year-old kicker on Tuesday, two days after he missed his sixth extra-point attempt in Cincy’s 23-10 win over the Browns.
Nugent has spent the past seven seasons with the Bengals and though his field-goal success rate (79.3 percent) is on par with his career average, his extra-point conversions are a career-worst this season, hitting just 79.3 percent of his attempts.
The Bengals signed Randy Bullock to take Nugent’s place.
