Belichick: Bills crowd 'will be as loud as we allow it to be'
The level of anticipation for the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots matchup on Sunday is through the roof as both teams have traded shots at one another. Bills players haven't been shy about expressing their hatred towards New England, while Tom Brady has responded to fans' chants of "we want Brady."
The crowd is sure to be electric at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo, but Bill Belichick is sure that it won't get any louder than the Patriots allow it to.
"We always expect crowd noise on the road,” Belichick said via WEEI. "It’s something we’re ready for every week we play away games. I’m sure it will be loud there. It’s loud everywhere. It will be a lot louder when you’re not doing well. If you’re moving the ball, getting first downs and gaining yards, that tends to quiet it. When you’re ahead that quiets it too. It will be as loud as we allow it to be."
Here's what the Bills' Twitter account thought of Belichick's comments.

By ensuring that the crowd doesn't get too loud for his liking, Belichick is essentially saying that the Patriots will have to remain ahead for much of the game. Third downs are typically when fans get loud and let the players hear it, so getting first downs to silence them is key.
The Bills, along with their fans, are riding a huge wave of momentum heading into this home matchup with their bitter rivals. Coming off of a victory against the Indianapolis Colts, Bills fans will expect the same against the defending Super Bowl champions on Sunday.
