Wizards sign Ryan Hollins to help fortify the frontcourt

The Washington Wizards entered the season hoping to embrace small ball, with quicker pace, three-point shots and unconventional lineups. But so far it's been a struggle, and the team's defense has been a major problem.

They just signed Ryan Hollins, a 7-foot journeyman, to help out in that area. He isn't a game-changer by any means, and only averaged 3.0 points per game last season with the Sacramento Kings. But who knows?

He's 30 years old and has played for seven teams in nine seasons. Washington will be No. 8, and they'll need his length on the glass.
