We Talkin' Bout Podcast 22 -- @Darienhoops

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Josh and George were joined by the king of Sixers Twitter, @Darienhoops, of Sports Talk Philly to discuss all things Philadelphia 76ers, process, and much more.

George and Josh were joined by writer from Sports Talk Philly, Darien May, (@Darienhoops on Twitter) for episode 22 of We Talkin’ Bout Podcast, and it was a good one. Actually, scratch that, it was a great one.

Darien is a good friend of George and Josh’s, and often is recognized around Philadelphia 76ers Twitter by plenty of Sixers fans. During the podcast, George and Josh dubbed Darien the King of Sixers Twitter, and Darien gladly accepted the nomination.

We had to talk Sixers of course, and we talked a lot about Joel Embiid to start, and really just how incredible of a season he is having so far. We discussed whether or not it’s safe to call him a Rookie of the Year lock, and if his 3-poit shot is a trade-off of sorts.

We talked about some other players as well, including Jerryd Bayless, Kendall Marshall (groans), Nik Stauskas, and Dario Saric.

We called out some Sixers fans who have been a bit impatient this season, which seems a bit contradictory to the tone around the organization and fan base over the last few years.

Draft talk was up next, and Darien and George dominated the conversation talking about some of their favorite players.

We really enjoyed recording this podcast, and hope to have Darien on again at some point. Be sure to follow him on Twitter (@Darienhoops), and also George (@georgeythegreek) and Josh (@jdSportsBlog).

@Lark_Mynch does our intro and outro music, and we also want to thank Zencastr for helping us record our podcasts.
