Tristan Thompson won't attend LeBron's pre-training camp in Miami

Tristan Thompson is the lone player from last season's Eastern Conference-champion Cleveland Cavaliers squad to remain unsigned, and that fact is preventing him from getting in extra work with his teammates.

LeBron James has organized a pre-training camp of sorts in Miami, and while the majority of the team will attend, Thompson is choosing to sit it out due to his unresolved contract situation.

You can't blame Thompson for not wanting to put himself at risk physically when so much of his financial future remains undecided. But this does show that the contract impasse between the two sides is having an affect on the team at this early stage of preparation for the upcoming season.
