SVG says he will play Steve Blake over Brandon Jennings right now

Detroit Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy has to be happy to have Brandon Jennings back from an Achilles injury and ready to make an impact for the bench. That might be a while down the line, though.
Although Jennings recently made his comeback with Detroit's D-League affiliate and looked good while doing it, Van Gundy says he's going to stick with Steve Blake for now over Jennings.
Here's more from Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press:
"As it stands right now, SVG says he wouldn't play Jennings ahead of Steve Blake as backup point guard right now. "If I've got to earn my second spot, then let's practice for it," Jennings said Sunday after practicing with the Pistons. "Let's go play for a spot. I'm with it. I'm up for it."
Jennings has said in the past that he'd be open to taking a bench spot. The Pistons have one of the worst scoring benches in the league, so it might only be a matter of time before Jennings finds playing time and earns a 6th man role.
