Stephen Curry cried in the huddle when told he couldn't return vs. Rockets
Stephen Curry suffered a knee injury near the end of the first half of the Warriors' Game 4 win over the Rockets on Sunday, and it was severe enough that it forced him to miss the rest of the contest.
Curry had missed the previous two games with an ankle injury, so this was something new. And the fact that he's unable to help his team at the season's most critical point caused the reigning MVP to break down with an emotional response.
Once Curry had officially been ruled out for the remainder of the game -- one that was all tied up at the half before the Warriors took control -- Draymond Green said his teammate was moved to tears upon receiving the news.
"He was shook up; he was crying," Green told USA TODAY Sports. "It's pain. It's wanting to be out there with your guys. He was quiet, so I said everything to him.
"I just told him, 'Hold your head up. It'll be alright. But then get the (expletive) out of here.' We got you. Get out of here."
San Francisco's @abc7 @MikeShumann reported a Warriors team doctor told him that Stephen Curry has a sprained right MCL.

The extent of the injury is not yet known; one report has it as a sprained MCL, and Curry will undergo an MRI on Monday to see exactly where things stand. But this initial reaction is at least a little bit worrisome for Warriors fans hoping to see their team repeat as champions.
