Stan Van Gundy says Vucevic is 'skilled as any center in the league'

Detroit's head coach Stan Van Gundy has a lot of experience with Orlando. In fact, he coached the Magic from 2007-08 until 2011-12.
His time with the team never overlapped with Orlando's rising star, Nikola Vucevic. However, Van Gundy recognizes that when his Pistons face off with the Magic they have a tough assignment in shutting down the suddenly dominant big man.
"He's as skilled as any center in the league," says Van Gundy, via Orlando Sentinel's Josh Robbins.
Vucevic averages 16.8 points with 8.5 rebounds, 0.9 blocks and 0.8 steals over 30.4 minutes per game this season. He's fourth in scoring (behind Brook Lopez, Andre Drummond and Jahlil Okafor) and sixth in field goal percentage (trailing DeAndre Jordan, Dwight Howard, Hassan Whiteside, Enes Kanter and Karl Anthony-Towns) this year.
Orlando plays Detroit on Monday at 7:30 p.m. EST.
