Need a ride? Kenneth Faried is an Uber driver
If you live in Denver, there's a chance you might end up catching a ride from Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried.
That's because Faried, in his last free night before the NBA season starts, is becoming an Uber driver.
Believe it or not, Faried isn't the first NBA player to spend his spare time working in transportation. Celtics legend Dave Cowens was a Boston taxi driver for one night in the 70's, so maybe that's where Faried is getting the inspiration from. Cowens is a former MVP, so there are worse players to emulate.
Of course, Faried will be driving his customers in a little more style than Cowens did. Here's more from Uber's release:
"For one night only, professional basketball player Kenneth Faried will be on the road in Denver driving around a few lucky riders in his BMW M750LI!
Enter the code MANIMAL to your app on Monday, and request a ride from 7 – 9 PM for your chance to take a ride with Kenneth Faried!"
Here's hoping "The Manimal" is a little more careful behind the wheel than he is on the court.
