NBA GMs: Dirk Nowitzki isn't the best international player in NBA
If you were to call Dallas Mavericks superstar Dirk Nowitzki the greatest international player in NBA history, very few people would argue with you. Nowtizki is easily one of the best power forwards to ever play, and is a lock for the NBA Hall of Fame.
At age 37, though, general managers around the NBA no longer think Nowitzki is currently the best international player in the league.
In last year's NBA survey of general managers, Dirk Nowitzki received 53.6 percent of the vote in the "best international player" category.
But what about this year? Here are the results via NBA.com:
Nowitzki finished third, receiving 10.6 percent of the vote. Pau Gasol of the Chicago Bulls finished second with 17.2 percent of the vote, and Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol won the vote going away with 62.1 percent.
This will be Nowitzki's 18th season in the NBA.
