Knicks' Cleanthony Early reportedly robbed after leaving strip club
Players for the New York Knicks might want to start taking extra precautions.
Less than two weeks after Derrick Williams was allegedly robbed of over half a million dollars in jewelry after bringing two women home with him from a night of partying, another Knicks player seems to have found himself a target.
The alleged victim this time is second-year man Cleanthony Early, who the Daily News reports was shot in the right knee during a horrifying scene early Wednesday morning after leaving a strip club in Queens.
According to the report, Early left CityScapes in an Uber just after 4 a.m. with an unidentified female guest. A short time later, less than a mile away, the car was boxed in by three cars and four-to-six armed assailants in ski masks robbed Early of his items and jewelry, including gold caps on his teeth.
He is in stable condition at a local hospital, according to the report. Employees at CityScapes declined comment to the Daily News.
The Knicks tweeted out a statement Wednesday morning:

The former Wichita State star has played sparingly for the Knicks, appearing in just 10 games so far this season. He played about 30 seconds of Tuesday night's win over the Detroit Pistons.
Early also has a history of right knee injuries -- the same knee he was reportedly shot in.
