Jeremy Lin did the MJ shrug in front of Michael Jordan
Jeremy Lin was cookin' on Monday night, scoring 21 points in the Charlotte Hornets 89-85 Game 4 victory over the Miami Heat to tie their first-round series at 2-2.
Early in the fourth quarter, Lin accidentally banked in a 3-pointer -- does one ever do so on purpose? -- and decided to bust out the "MJ shrug" on his way back down the floor:
Michael Jordan, the Hornets owner and indisputably the greatest basketball player ever, made shrugs forever famous when he did one against the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 1 of the 1992 NBA Finals after connecting on six 3-pointers in the first half:
Lin's shrug was more subtle, with less expression and no smile across his face. He was nowhere near Jordan's level of heat, of course, but one has to assume he had Jordan's blessing given the end result.
