SALT LAKE CITY (AP) The Utah Jazz have waived Grant Jerrett, a forward who injured his shoulder during summer league and needed surgery.

He played three games last year in his first NBA season, averaging 3.0 points and 1.7 rebounds in 8.7 minutes.

The 6-foot-10 Jerrett was hurt in the first game of summer league in Salt Lake City. He wasn't able to participate in preseason camp, practices or games after his operation. He was acquired as part of the trade that sent Enes Kanter to Oklahoma City at the trade deadline last season.
