Is Damian Lillard really the 8th best point guard in the NBA?

The NBA is filled with great point guards and the Portland Trail Blazers are lucky enough to have one of them. But just how good is Damian Lillard compared to his colleagues?

According to this list by Sports on Earth's Michael Pina, Lillard is the eighth best starting point guard in the NBA. What do you think? Fair or foul?

Lillard's outside shot did take a statistical dip last season, but he also did a much better job finishing at the rim. Neither will matter until he can establish himself as a legitimate defender, though.

Until then, there will always be a handful of point guards who're better than Lillard.

Lillard can't defend and had a sneaky-disappointing outside shot last year. Parker is perpetually injured. Lowry just cracked under the weight of his all-time highest usage percentage. Bledsoe would be in a higher group if not for his faulty jumper. Rose would be one of the very best players in the world if, well, everyone already knows why he isn't. Let's talk about him some more.
