Hawks' Schroder: 'I said, 'I'm sorry' when I saw his head was bleeding'

Atlanta's Dennis Schroder accidentally injured an NBA cameraman in Portland on Wednesday night while trying to step over him while defending a shot by the Trail Blazers' C.J. McCollum.

According to AJC.com, the photographer reportedly required nine stitches. While no one seemed to discuss the cameraman's injury on Twitter (a search yielded no results beyond the report from AJC), a follow-up report explained that Schroder apologized for the accident.

"I said, 'I'm sorry' when I saw his head was bleeding," said Schroder, via Chris Vivlamore.

This is somehow still the second strangest story about an injury involving Schroder this season. Earlier this year, he lost his tooth during a game -- then stuffed it back in his sock for storage.

While Schroder certainly felt guilty, this incident does bring up a larger issue: Is the safety hazard of a photographer sitting that close to the court an issue that needs to be addressed?
