Garrett Temple is the 'energizer bunny' Wizards need

Published Nov. 16, 2015 12:32 p.m. ET

Garrett Temple is only averaging 5.5 points and 0.8 assists per game this season, but the third point guard off Washington's bench is still a crucial part of their team.

Here's more, courtesy of The Washington Post's Jorge Castillo:

Temple was sensational on Saturday night against the Orlando Magic, scoring 18 points on 10 shots in 31 minutes. Having someone who can come in and play that way when a starter gets injured his hugely valuable.

“I thought Garrett was huge. He gave us great energy,” Wittman. “Starting him, both from an offensive standpoint and defensively just gives us that energizer bunny that we need and he let things come to him from an offensive standpoint.”
