Epic NBA illustrations depict each series as a battle of mascots
This is the problem with the NBA's best teams being so very good.
The first round of this year's playoffs have gotten off to a rocky start, as the best teams have dominated their series. There's been some entertaining basketball in stretches, to be sure, and upsets from the Dallas Mavericks and Indiana Pacers have kept things from being completely boring. On the other hand, there hasn't been much excitement through the first 13 games of the postseason.
But that's fine, because we have some amazingly cool NBA playoff art to tide us over until the madness really begins. French artist Asur Misoa used her creative skill to imagine each first-round series as a meeting between team mascots, and the results are absolutely worth a minute of your time. Atlanta Hawks v. Boston Celtics
Indiana Pacers v. Toronto Raptors
Miami Heat v. Charlotte Hornets
Houston Rockets v. Golden State Warriors
Memphis Grizzlies v. San Antonio Spurs
Portland Trail Blazers v. Los Angeles Clippers
Dallas Mavericks v. Oklahoma City Thunder
Each is more incredible than the last, but the Hawks/Celtics art might be our favorite.
