NBA players love giving back to their communities. Elfrid Payton is no exception.

The Magic point guard and New Orleans native will be hosting a basketball camp this summer in his hometown. Here's some information, courtesy of Julie Boudwin of NOLA.com:

New Orleans native and Orlando Magic point guard Elfrid Payton is working on his shooting skills this offseason, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Perhaps the John Ehret product can help a few local children with their jumpers and free-throws Sunday when Payton will host a free basketball clinic for kids in Westwego. The camp is from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the Alario Center. You can register your child HERE.

He's going to put on another camp in July, but this one will be at the RDV Sportsplex in Orlando, the website says.

The camps are all part of a busy offseason for Payton, who's preparing for his second NBA season under a new head coach Scott Skiles.

"I've talked to a lot of guys, and it's been all positive things about Coach Skiles and how well he does with point guards," Payton told the site. "So I'll be happy to see what we can do and what I can learn from him, what he can learn from me and what he can do for this team."
