Dwyane Wade wants the Heat to get into the paint
Dwyane Wade churned out one of his better games of the season Monday night. With the Heat struggling to pick up wins of late and with the offense reeling, Wade stepped his game up in Chicago, dropping 28 points and leading the Heat to a come-from-behind 89-84 victory.
The offense still struggled, but Wade, in an 11-for-21 effort, did not.
After the game, he was deflecting all the credit to his teammates. From Tom Musick of UPI.com:
"The big guys did a great job of setting screens, allowing me to get downhill and be able to get into the paint," said Wade, who also grabbed seven rebounds and distributed five assists. "That's the biggest thing for our team. If we're getting in the paint, that allows us to be aggressive scoring the ball. That was the whole mindset."
Wade's 28 points was the most he's dropped in a single game since he went for an identical total on the Nets a little more than a month ago. Ironically, Miami heads to Brooklyn to play the Nets on Tuesday night.
