Draymond Green apologizes to Warriors for explosive halftime rant
Draymond Green told the media Monday that he apologized to his teammates and coaches for his expletive-laden rant during halftime of the Golden State Warriors' 121-118 overtime win over the Oklahoma City Thunder:
Inside Bay Area recorded part of Green's comments, in which he states the blow-up won't happen again:
”As a human being, I made a mistake. I apologized to my teammates -- to everybody who I needed to apologize to. It won’t happen again. And now on to basketball-related things, I’m done with that topic.”
According to a report by ESPN, the central conflict was between Green and head coach Steve Kerr. Green was apparently upset about his play in the first half and went off on a tirade, swearing at his teammates and coaches, claiming he wasn't a robot who wouldn't shoot and momentarily refusing to come back out to play in the second half.
The rest of his teammates reportedly calmed him down and convinced him to play. Kerr described the episode as "unusual" after the game, but Stephen Curry looked at in a different light. According to the reigning MVP, it served as a bonding moment that helped spark the Warriors in the second half, ultimately leading to another victory:

Even when the Warriors (53-5) aren't on the same page internally, they can find a way to rally and win on the road against one of the best teams in the league. What's the point of anyone else trying anymore?
