Detroit Pistons travels home to take on the Philadelphia 76ers

After taking care of business in Minnesota, Detroit comes home briefly to take on the 5-18 Philadelphia 76ers.

Detroit played surprisingly well Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Not surprising as if the Timberwolves were expected to win, though surprising where Detroit handled their business and kept the young talents of Minnesota out of the game.
The Pistons easily could have let Zach Lavine, Andrew Wiggins, and Karl Anthony-Towns take over the game and leave Minnesota with their heads hanging.
Fortunately, that was not the case and now, Detroit comes home to take on a similar competitor with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Coming off with their first road win since January 20th in New Orleans, the 76ers won’t make it easy for the Detroit Pistons.
Again, similar to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the game can easily be handed over to the 76ers young talents (Joel Embiied out) with Detroit leaving home with a loss. And Philadelphia has proven it can happen.
Against legit teams such as (most recent) the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics, the 76ers keep close to their opponent. Against Cleveland, Philadelphia fell short by four points while against Boston, Philadelphia only lost by a point.
Though, there is still much in favor for Detroit.
Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond are beginning to looking more in sinc with Tobias Harris, Marcus Morris, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and others performing well.
Additionally, Sunday’s game holds much value as it’s Ish Smith first season matchup against his former squad. With that in mind, the Pistons should come out energetic and swinging.
Overall, with Phili’s potential in mind, Detroit could have a tough time tonight with the 76ers. Though, as fans must remember, Philidelphia still is the team thats 5-18 and loses to teams of lesser caliber than the Detroit Pistons. Therefore, it may be close but most likely not in Detroit’s favor.
