“After a four-game losing streak ended a week ago, the Hornets have won three of their last four games to boost their record to 11-8. Charlotte is in the midst of a stretch in which it plays five of six games at home — and seemed to have found some flash from 7-2 center Roy Hibbert in a 97-87 victory over Dallas on Thursday.” (FOXsports.com)

The Hornets will take on the T-Wolves for the first time this season as they look to win their second straight game at home. This season has been full of ups and downs so far as Charlotte endured that poor run of form in their four-game losing streak and have seemingly turned things around as of late. They will be looking for some consistency against a young and talented Minnesota squad.

How Kemba and the Hornets Keep Getting Better

“One of the big surprises that does not appear to be an anomaly, however, is the outstanding play of Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker. Walker is enjoying his best professional season, averaging a career-high 24.2 points per game on career-high shooting from the field and from behind the arc. Over the last few seasons, the Hornets have slowly evolved their offensive attack away from Al Jefferson‘s low post game and toward the high pick-and-roll sets that maximize Walker’s abilities—but this year, things are clicking like never before.” (sports.VICE.com)

This article goes in-depth and details Walker’s great pick-and-roll play. It also explains how and why both the player and the team has enjoyed success as of late, mainly due to Kemba’s outstanding play. The Charlotte Hornets’ rise, as well as Kemba Walker’s, are directly linked as they go hand in hand with both sides benefiting from great coaching, chemistry, and talent.

Drummond Fined For Elbow to Hibbert

“Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond was fined $15,000 for elbowing Roy Hibbert in the head, the NBA announced Thursday. Drummond was given a Flagrant 2 foul and booted out of Tuesday night’s 112-89 road win against the Charlotte Hornets.” (SlamOnline.com)

Andre Drummond delivered a nasty elbow to the back of Roy Hibbert’s head in their meeting a few games ago. The Detroit Pistons‘ center was rightfully ejected and fined for his actions.Apparently, these two aren’t too fond of each other as the Charlotte Hornets’ big man had some choice words for Drummond back in 2013.
