Students looking for a game of pickup basketball at the University of Miami over the summer had better beware.

Amar'e Stoudemire may have jumped straight from high school to the NBA, but the Knicks star is looking to expand his education after enrolling for summer classes at the university in Coral Gables, Fla.

"Just enrolled at the University of Miami. Working on continuing my education," Stoudemire tweeted this week, posting a link to a photo of himself holding his hands in the shape of the university's famous "U" sign.

The university confirmed the 6-foot-11 power forward is working his way toward a bachelor's degree in general studies, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

Stoudemire grew up in Florida and attended Cypress Creek High School in Orlando, before being selected ninth in the 2002 NBA Draft following his senior year.
