How many games will Justin Verlander win this season?

6-8

 ( 17% )

9-11

 ( 42% )

12-15

 ( 42% )

3:51

[Comment From Mike]

do you think the tigers have a prayer to turn this toilet of a season around, or
are we all in for the most dissapointing season ever!!!!!

3:58

[Comment From Guest]

will verlander throw for under 3 Earned Runs today?

4:05

[Comment From Steve Mac]

Hey Dibbs;

4:07

[Comment From glenn]

Will the D-train come back this year?

4:10

RKD49:  The Tigers have a very solid team and a great manager
and GM. if they can get he lead of the White Sox by five games by the All-Star break
I think the Tigers have a shot at the Division

4:12

[Comment From mike]

cool, i hope your right, only time will tell!

4:12

RKD49:  Yes, if he can cut down on his walks. he worked ahead
already in the firts inning. This is a very tough White Sox lineup. Verlander has
27 wlaks in his last 10 starts.

4:13

[Comment From Steve Mac]

Hey Dibbs, It is never to early to talk trades, trade market etc. Do you see any
the white sox making any moves? Does Griffey get a chance with a contender? (I am
not implying that and Jr. is going to the sox) Who are the shoppers and who is being
dangled out there as available?

4:17

RKD49:  I don't know about Griffey, he's making close to $9
Million this year and that narrows down the teams that can afford him. One possibilty
is the Red sox, but that depends on him wanting to leave the Red's. he would have
to wave a no-trade clause.

4:20

RKD49:  As far as other trades, I think the one trade, if
I was a General Manager right now, and I wanted to make my club great for the next
5 years would be C.C. Sabathia.

4:22

[Comment From glenn]

Why would the indians trade C.C. ? He's locked up for a few years and the indians
have a few good young players.

4:22

[Comment From Steve Mac]

I heard some others saying CC could be available. But that would be limited too
right? Basically the same old players, Yankees, Red Sox and Dodgers? Indians would
ask for 1/2 a farm system wouldn't they?

4:23

RKD49:  Back to the D-Train question, there's nothing wrong
with Dontrelle. He has trouble repeating his delivery, which has always been his
problem and now he lacks the confidence and focus during game time. When you're
working on stuff in the bullpen or in practice you have to leave that out of the
game. When the game starts you have to be ready to play with all of your focus being
on the hitter.

4:24

RKD49:  He's not locked up, he's a free agent after the 2008
season.

4:24

FOXSports:  Verlander's coasting through two. Now it's Vazquez's
turn. Here's Dibs video scouting report on Javier...

4:24

[Comment From RYAN B]

HEY DIBBS, whats your thoughts on the Oakland A's

4:29

RKD49:  There's only 10 true number 1 starters in all of the
major leagues and CC is one of them. There are a lot of teams that have deep minor
league systems like the Milwaukee Brewers, if you really want to win a championship
you need a true #1 and a good #2. The fans have helped baseball become a $6 biliion
industry, between luxury tax and profit sharing, every team can afford CC Sabathia.
Two years ago the Kansas City royals, known for their cheapness, gave Gil Meche
$55 mil.

4:31

[Comment From Brad]

Did the Marlins get rid of Willis and Cabrera at the right time?

4:32

[Comment From 12 volt man]

Dibs, if Seattle blows it all up what's the market for Beltre

4:33

[Comment From John L]

What are the chances of the tigers trading willis?

4:33

[Comment From jd]

the one thing i like about you is. you call it the way it is. especially in cinn
when you scrapped with pinella.

4:33

RKD49:  Huge homerun for Thames! The breaking ball was supposed
to be down and away but Vazquez tried to over throw it, dropped his elbow and it
backed up into the zone. Hitter's delight!

4:34

[Comment From John L]

He killed that ball!!!!

4:38

RKD49:  Just think how good the Cardinals would be with a
healthy Chris Carpenter, Joel Pineiro, and when his finger heals Adam Wainwright.
I definitely think the Cradinals can win.

4:38

[Comment From John L]

How do you feel about the cardinals chances? think we could see a whitesox cardinal
world serise?

4:38

[Comment From Steve Mac]

What's your favorite stadium? I just got tickets to attend White Sox/Yanks series
in September and I am pretty excited to see the stadium and its history.

4:38

[Comment From Steve Mac]

Dang It! Javy has been throwing the ball well, it doesn't look like it tonight.

4:39

RKD49:  Wrigley Field is my all time favorite stadium. It
just feels like old time baseball. Great fans, great city and the shadow around
home plate at 4:30 in the afternoon is the best in baseball.

4:39

[Comment From Baseball Fan]

Do you think the "Club" (Owners) let Mark Cuban buy the Cubs? How do the owners
let an absentee owner in the club like in Seattle, yet some say the owners won't
let Cuban in. And he would be much better than the Seattle owner.

4:39

[Comment From John L]

could you emagine how much better theyd be with Carp and Joel??? there winning 5
nothing right now without alburt pujols. Anyone remeber 06 alburt was out for a
couple weeks and they won the world serise...

4:40

[Comment From Steve Mac]

John L, I hope we do meet in the world series. Wouldn't it be nice to see all those
cubs fans crying that we are battling each other for a ring? Hope we see each other
in October!

4:41

[Comment From John L]

OOOO yes lol.

4:42

[Comment From John L]

Not gonna lie i love when the cardinals do play in wrigly. well maybe its just because
were playing the cubs. but there just that feeling in the air

4:43

RKD49:  I just love the atmosphere that Larussa and Duncan
create for the team. Plus the Cardinal fans are amazing. I was covering the World
Series when the Red Sox beat the Cardinals and after the Sox won it in St. Louis
the Cardinal fans were buying the Sox fans drinks after the game. It's a classy
city and they were always great to me when I was a visiting player.

4:44

Will Ozzie Guillen last the season as manager in Chicago?

Yes

 ( 50% )

No

 ( 50% )

4:45

[Comment From Steve Mac]

I am liking this Beckham kid that the White Sox drafted after seeing how graceful
he is playing the field during the College World Series. What is a realistic timetable
for a high draft pick that is a position player to establish himself or not to the
Show?

4:46

[Comment From Guest]

Yes sir dont get me wrong i was mad when the cardinals lost but i had to show respect
to the redsox

4:47

[Comment From Steve Mac]

John L, maybe you love cardinals at wrigley because it is another stadium that sells
budweiser? (I am not a miller lite fan and hate going in a stadium without bud)
LOL

4:48

[Comment From John L]

I dont think the tigers will hold there lead. I think the whitesox will show up
in a couple innings

4:49

[Comment From John L]

Lol haha. Sure thats it

4:49

[Comment From scott f]

white sox are going to be tough this year

4:50

[Comment From John L]

I dig this chat foxsports should do it more often

4:50

RKD49:  The time line has really changed. it used to be 1000-1500
at bats down on the farm, and around 400-500 innings pitched for the young bucks.
I think Tim Lincecum had about 60 IP in the minors and he looks great so far in
the big leagues. Jay Bruce may be 21 but he's had close to 1500 ab before they called
him up. So give the kid time to be able to make adjustments on the fly at the major
league level. When he comes up you want him to be as sharp as he can be.

4:52

[Comment From John L]

Goona go grab a bight ill bbl. thanks for the time

4:52

[Comment From Steve Mac]

Ozzie stays as manager. That last tirade was nothing. He stated the obvious, which
was if the players didn't perform. Then the GM would find someone who does. Also
the manager & hitting coach could be on the chopping block. Chicago Media blew that
out or proportion, I don't think the national media was that bad. But writers like
Marriotti should go to work for the tabloids with that kind of journalism.

4:53

FOXSports:  Vazquez made a nice adjustment by striking out
Thames the second time around

4:54

RKD49:  Beltre is 29 and he's making almost $14mil. He'll
never be the guy he was back in '04 with 48 hrs and 121 RBIs, but he can still hit
you 30+ and drive in close to 100 RBIs and play some pretty decent 3b. I would take
him.

4:55

[Comment From Steve Mac]

Off to sit in traffic for an hour so I can get home to watch last of Sox/Tigers.

4:55

[Comment From Kenny Pice]

Hi Rob. I was at that late night doubleheader in '93 when Mark Whiten hit 4 homers
in Game 2. Thanks for serving up #4. Made for a special night.

4:56

[Comment From mike]

i dont think detroit is gona make the playoffs

4:56

[Comment From Steve Mac]

Thanks for taking a few of my guestions Dibbs. Hope you do this more often. (You
shouldn't let Kenny post stuff like that) Back him off the plate Dibbs! LOL!

4:57

[Comment From Mike Torrez]

detroit will not make it your right

4:57

[Comment From Mike Torrez]

Mike...How are things going? Do you think Phillies Howard will turn his season around?

4:57

RKD49:  I disagree, Ozzie is no longer a player. You want
your team to be represented by someone more like Joe Torre than Ozzie Guillen. Two
things I've learned in the 20+ years I've been around major league baseball, the
manager has to respect the players and the manager has to respect management.

4:58

[Comment From mike]

no i dont he needs 2 get around 35 hr for his team 2 make the playoffs

4:59

[Comment From Mike Torrez]

who do you think has the toughest division, with in mind.. the rest of everyones
schedule?

4:59

RKD49:  Hey Kenny- I faced 1978 batters in my major league
career and I only served up 27 long balls. How many batters did you face? Don't
mess with the Nasty Boy!

5:01

[Comment From diran]

That Kenny was a wise guy! He probably never played Baseball.

5:01

RKD49:  Every division is hard. It's the lowest winning percentage
by visiting teams in major league baseball history since 1931. Only 3 teams in MLB
are above .500 on the road this season.

5:01

[Comment From mike]

i dont even think detroit will get 90 wins 2 be honest

5:01

[Comment From Steve Mac]

I didn't see Ozzie as disrespecting management. Ozzie was to blame too, and he admitted
it. I don't think Ozzie said something there that the players hadn't heard already.
See ya!

5:01

[Comment From diran]

Rob, do you think anyone will ever win the triple crown again.

5:05

[Comment From Steve G.]

Can the Yankees right the ship this year?

5:05

[Comment From Randy]

I am not a big statistics guy. Do players think stats are just silly, or do you
guys follow them as well?

5:05

RKD49:  The reason I don't think anyone will win the triple
crown is that baseball has changed. Hitters used to respect striking out. They don't
now...So the batting average for a lot of HR and RBI guys is going to be too low
to complete the feat...If there is 1 man it would be Albert Pujols...He is 1 to
1 with K's and BB's...he would be the pick for me...

5:07

[Comment From RickDeez]

Dibble, how hot do the Cubs look right now? I mean seriously, they look like they
could go the distance. What do you think?

5:09

[Comment From diran]

Thanks Rob, I think you are right on the money on Pujols, although J. Hamilton looks
good right now. I just dont think he can sustain what he is doing.

5:10

RKD49:  Stats are great to tell you the truth. The only bad
part is you don't always get the complete story on a player. Just because a player
has a great OBP it doesn't make him a great teammate or someone you can count on
in crunch time...Stats can help you evaluate many players as far as how to play
them, how to pitch them and when to not pitch to them....I also like to judge NEW
players on how they're first 3 years are in the show to see if they are for real
or not.

5:11

[Comment From JB-Dodger lover]

From the time kids start playing baseball they have been taught to swing at anything
close with two strikes. I don't understand, when players have such great eyes and
know it's around the plate they look at strike 3. It drives me crazy!

5:11

RKD49:  Hamilton is awesome, he just isn't crushing lefties
as well as righties....Bradley has 7 hrs off righties and 7 off lefties, I think
that's tight..he is really protecting Josh's back

5:12

FOXSports:  That just happened to Jay Bruce. Watched strike
three from Braden Looper.

5:12

[Comment From jack philipoom]

At least one of the pirates outfileders should make it to the all star game they're
all having carrer years!

5:13

RKD49:  The Mets have 3 runs off Webb in 4 IP...Blow up the
Mets

5:16

RKD49:  Cubs are great..They have learned Lou...They have
great everything...Pitching, Defense and Howry to Marmol to Wood is tough right
now.         I love Derosa too.   They operate on his heart
and he's back in a week during spring training...That's awesome

5:17

Who would win in a fight: Jim Leyland or Ozzie Guillen?

Leyland

 ( 45% )

Guillen

 ( 55% )

5:19

[Comment From RickDeez]

Thanks for responding to my question neighbor. Cubs look deadly right now. I hope
they can keep it up.

5:20

[Comment From scooma]

hey dibs, what team has the best pen?

5:21

RKD49:  The Yankees are fine. Give Joba 5 more starts and
he's fine after The break....Wang, Mussina,Joba maybe Pettitte in a pinch, They
offense is back and Mariano is well Mariano. I still think Yanks go to the playoffs

5:22

[Comment From Guest]

sure respond to the cubs comment but you don't respond to my and say yes you are
right i order everyone to vote reading this to vote for the pirates outfiielders
right now.

5:25

RKD49:  The Pirates outfielders may be having career years....but
dude...they're still the Pirates. Remember when McGwire hit 70 home runs? he didn't
win the MVP award.

5:26

[Comment From geraldg]

pirates will probably trade bay and/or nagy anyway

5:26

[Comment From Kenny Pice]

Any idea why Dusty Baker is always so inept at handling his pitching staff?

5:27

RKD49:  Did you see that 68 mph curveball from Vazquez? Renteria
didn't!

5:27

[Comment From geraldg]

edgarhea happens

5:27

[Comment From John L]

Kenny i guess youve been watching my cardinals beat up on your reds?

5:28

[Comment From John L]

I remeber Renteria always loved watching him when he played for the cardinals

5:28

[Comment From Kenny Pice]

Our Cardinals, John L. Our Cardinals.

5:28

[Comment From geraldg]

volquez will be on the dl by the end of june

5:28

[Comment From geraldg]

that's dusty ball

5:29

[Comment From John L]

lol good to see you kenny

5:31

[Comment From Kenny Pice]

nice to see them stepping up in Pujols's absence.

5:31

RKD49:

The White Sox have the best pen  on paper, but give a lot of credit to George
Cherrill in Baltimore, he's got 21 saves and Brian Wilson in SF with 18.

5:32

[Comment From moe tercity]

what about when the tigers get zumaya and rodney back?

5:33

[Comment From John L]

How about braden loopers pitching? 6 inning 1 hit pretty good for me. Just hope
atlanta comes back and shows up those cubs.

5:33

[Comment From Kenny Pice]

Hey Rob, what current pitcher(s) would you say most resembles you in terms of either
skillz, tenacity, and/or handsomeness?

5:34

RKD49:  I don't think Detroit is counting on Zumaya this year.
And there's no timetable for Rodney either.

5:34

[Comment From geraldg]

yea, check out that headshot! nice, dibs!

5:34

[Comment From craig f]

It seems unlikely now, but the Yankees have the tools to at least win the wild card.
As long as they can stay away from the Angels, they could play for the AL Championship
in the least

5:35

[Comment From John L]

Rob what pitchers do you excpect to be in the allstar game so far this year?

5:36

RKD49:  I was never considered Brad Pitt's double, but then
again Brad didn't have my fastball!

5:37

[Comment From geraldg]

dibble comparison: bobby jenks?

5:38

RKD49:  I like Papelbon and Jenks.

5:39

[Comment From fredsox]

can you dance a jig like papelbon?

5:39

[Comment From John L]

Kenny just me or you think Troy Glaus is gonna just keep heating up?

5:40

RKD49:

I'm part Scottish so no I can't dance but I do wear a mean kilt.

5:41

[Comment From soufsider]

sit down, inge! that was nasty

5:41

[Comment From Kenny Pice]

Sure hope so. It's nice that he's finally getting his sea legs. Need him to step
it up these next three weeks.

5:41

RKD49:  Could we get Bill Nye the Science Guy to measure that
Vazquez curveball?

5:42

[Comment From John L]

ive been very happy with loopers star i was really hopeing kens hit would of been
caught tho

5:43

[Comment From soufsider]

polanco has a large head

5:43

[Comment From Dennis]

how many homers will manny have at the end of his career?? 650?

5:44

[Comment From John L]

Random but o.k.

5:44

RKD49:  Just take the top 10 pitchers from wins and saves
in each league and you pretty much have your All Star pitchers. the guys that I
think should start the game right now are Cliff Lee in the AL and Edinson Volquez
for thge NL.

5:44

[Comment From John L]

Thanks. Id really like to see Todd

5:44

[Comment From jack philipoom]

a lot of baseball players have big heads. what a coincidence

5:45

RKD49:  I can't comment on the large head because my knickname
in the minor leagues was Horsehead!

5:45

[Comment From Jack H.]

How many smokes do you think Leyland has a day?

5:46

FOXSports:  good poll question

5:46

[Comment From Kenny Pice]

Huge headedness corresponds with high OBP. Planks, Bonds...

5:47

How many smokes do you think Leyland has a day?

2

 ( 0% )

5:47

[Comment From John L]

wellemeyer. Sorry actully clicked enter lol.. but back to my piont. id love to see
him in the allstar game

5:47

[Comment From Keith S.]

How many homers you think Chase Utley will have at the end of the season?

5:48

[Comment From Jack H.]

I'm How about putting it in packs

5:48

[Comment From John L]

Keith i dont think he can keep the homerun lead ... maybe 35-45

5:49

RKD49:  I'm an ex-smoker and I hope that Jim has quit too...but
the way that the Tigers have played through the first 60 games, I'm guessing 3 packs
a game.

5:49

[Comment From Keith S.]

Probably right John but its interesting nontheless

5:49

[Comment From moe tercity]

why did the d-backs give up on carlos quentin?

5:50

[Comment From moe tercity]

verlander threw a brutal changeup to qunetin. i saw the videos you did earlier in
the chat. can you show us how to grip a changeup?

5:50

[Comment From Jack H.]

I think 2 packs plus a few strays he bums off some guys, but how do you think they
will get it turned around in Detroit? What will have to happen?

5:50

[Comment From John L]

O yes it is Keith. Who wins the Nl Central??? Anyone

5:52

RKD49:  Manny has averaged 41 hrs a year for his career, he's
on pace this year to hit around 40...which could give him 530 at the end of this
year...so figure closer to 700 if he plays 5 more years. Chase Utley is looking
good for about 50 long balls this year. But then again he only has 2 hrs in June.

5:55

[Comment From cardtastic]

ludwick crushed another double and a homer tonight. he better be an all-star.

5:55

[Comment From Kenny Pice]

Gotta roll. Cards & Cubs win NL Central/Wild Card (assuming Pujols and Carp are
back for 2nd half). Thanks for doing this, Rob. Hope this becomes a semi-regular
feature.

5:55

[Comment From Guest]

Hey Rob. How and when are the Reds going to get it all together at one time. 10
win streak, 3 game loss streak, win 2 lose 3 etc.

5:56

[Comment From Jack H.]

Dibbs, beside the fastball, how many pitches did you reguarly use? and which one
worked the best for you?

5:56

[Comment From Guest]

Chase is giveing himself to much credit for his good start. 50 is alot for this
guy who has had a season high of 32 homeruns 2 years ago

6:01

[Comment From moe tercity]

you were right, dibbs. verlander has no walks so far and the 'gers are winning

6:01

RKD49:  the video is coming

6:02

[Comment From jack philipoom]

what video

6:03

[Comment From soufside]

todd video -- he's a new white sox prospect

6:03

RKD49:  for me the best pitch is always strike 1, maybe a
slider, a slow slider to righties or as hard as I could throw a fastball, get ahead
and put them away quick...

6:05

[Comment From John L]

Good to see every homerun worth $17,000 for charity.

6:06

Who will win the AL Central?

White Sox

 ( 50% )

Tigers

 ( 42% )

Twins

 ( 0% )

Indians

 ( 8% )

Royals

 ( 0% )

6:07

[Comment From John Mc]

Rob: do you think the Yanks have enough starting pitching to at least win the Wild
Card? Will Joba stay in the rotation? I have to think that Tampa will come back
to the pack at some point. Thanks! John Mc

6:08

RKD49:  good question on Quinten, I like to see teams give
a guy at least 600 abs for 1 season to see what he can do. they gave him parts of
2 season with 229 abs last year and 166 the year before...he hit 14 combined...They
may have pulled the trigger too early on that trade.

6:09

RKD49:  nice job by Granderson keeping his hands back and
taking the outside pitch to left

6:10

FOXSports:  Here's the video... Dibble shows us a changeup
grip.

6:10

RKD49:  Vasquez has way to much ability to get hit this hard

6:12

[Comment From soufside]

he only made a couple bad pitches

6:13

[Comment From John L]

Thanks dibbs nice vid

6:14

RKD49:

Verlander is going for a complete game. He's gotten ahead of the hitters all night.
8 innings and no walks. Look for a slider to try and get a ground ball double play.

6:14

[Comment From John L]

when id throw my change up id never do the blind like you showed im gonna try that
out tomro thanks.

6:14

[Comment From moe tercity]

he's still throwing gas

6:15

[Comment From moe tercity]

verlander that is

6:16

[Comment From moe tercity]

safe or out, dibbs?

6:16

RKD49:

Remember pitch and arm speed...but I forgot to tell you..aim for the catcher's mask
when throwing the change up.

6:16

RKD49:  Safe...very bad call!

6:16

[Comment From soufside]

way safe! instant replay!!

6:17

RKD49:  It was so bad...Ozzie didn't even argue.

6:17

[Comment From Jack H.]

Thanks for the video dibbs, here's the real VideoTodd Video - RHP CWS - 6' 3" 218
lbs. Todd had a tremendous year in Double A, winning 10 games in 13 starts. He struck
out 8 batters per 9 innings. Will most likely see a brief stop in Triple A before
seeing time in the sox rotation in the next year to year and a half. A hard thrower,
Video has a nasty slider and reguarly throws in the mid 90's. Great stamina and
delivery, can get well into the mid innings reguarly, with many chances for complete
games. Tends to get the ball up in the strike zone when worn down. Video will be
a solid big leauger for the organization and was a steal in the draft going 348th.

6:17

[Comment From John L]

Noo instant replay for those calls. Only for homeruns

6:19

[Comment From moe tercity]

hopefully not jinxing this, but the last tigers cg was verlander's no-no last year

6:20

FOXSports:  Jack H., thanks for the scouting report. We'll
keep an eye on that guy.

6:20

[Comment From jack philipoom]

I don't think there should be instant replays at all, in the nfl there usually is
at least 1 challenge per game, bad homerun don't really happen that often.

6:21

[Comment From moe tercity]

will this w turn around the tigers season, dibbs?

6:21

RKD49:  Thats's the guy I pick to win the Cy Young in the
AL this year.

6:21

RKD49:  No...but it's a great start.

6:23

RKD49:

I'm going to check out the Astros Brewers and Phillies Marlins.

6:24

[Comment From phanatic]

cole hamels has 13 Ks tonight. phils just tied it in the ninth

6:25

[Comment From moe tercity]

thanks, dibble! great stuff

6:25

RKD49:  Kevin Gregg just hit Burrell to load the bases

6:26

[Comment From phanatic]

suicide squeeze... what?

6:26

[Comment From Jack H.]

dibbs do you have a team you follow (reds?) or are you now just a fan of baseball
in general?

6:27

RKD49:  We try not to do that with 2 outs. Stupid play.

6:27

[Comment From phanatic]

yea, no s

6:27

RKD49:  Between radio and tv I get to manage 30 teams. I just
hope for good stories.

6:29

[Comment From Jack H.]

You obviously enjoy it and do a great job, I always like your honest insight.

6:29

[Comment From jack philipoom]

Suck up

6:30

[Comment From Brad]

hanley ramirez is a stud

6:31

[Comment From birdinals]

looper threw a complete game shutout over the reds. good win for the cardinals after
learning pujols and waino are out.

6:32

[Comment From Guest]

mark reynolds just crushed a three-run homer to tie the mets int he ninth with two
outs. fire willie!

6:32

RKD49:  I agree with Hanley Ramirez, he falls into my 3 year
category. His numbers have improved every year, he might be the best under 25 year
old in baseball today.

6:33

[Comment From cb]

go d-backs!

6:34

RKD49:  I like the little boy with his mouth hanging up at
the Mets game....I'm sure Fred Wilpon has the same look on his face.

6:34

[Comment From Jack H.]

Who else would you put in the under 25 category close to ramirez?

6:35

[Comment From cb]

take a seat, wagner

6:35

[Comment From JB-Dodger lover]

Somebody get Davey Johnson on the phone, Willie's on his way out!

6:36

[Comment From Guest]

hey dibbs any news on the pads

6:36

[Comment From JB-Dodger lover]

Pads stink!

6:36

RKD49:  BJ Upton of the Rays looks good so far...but only
time will tell.

6:40

RKD49:

Good news for the Padres....Jake Peavy comes back tomorrow night

6:41

[Comment From Brad]

walk-off grannie for uggla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6:41

RKD49:  Grand Slam Dann Uggla....game over!

6:41

[Comment From Brad]

marlins rule!

6:41

[Comment From jack philipoom]

when do you think the next time teh pirates have a winning season will be?

6:43

RKD49:  When the Pirates spend money on solid pitchers and
build up the minor leagues like they did in the late 80's and early 90's the bucs
will rise!

6:43

[Comment From robags]

hey dibs, what's your take on fantasy? good or bad for baseball?

6:44

[Comment From jack philipoom]

so never again

6:45

[Comment From Jack H.]

New management in da burg, do think it will start to happen?

6:45

[Comment From Jack H.]

Use the d-backs farm system as a model for the pirates

6:45

RKD49:  fantasy is great for baseball, my friend James Denton
of Desparate Housewives has played for 20 years....I'm just brutal when it comes
to building a team on 100 million

6:46

[Comment From TonyBones]

Are we kidding with Billy Wagner lately? After such a great start he gives up devastating
dingers to Tony Clark and now Mark Reynold tonight. What gives?

6:46

RKD49:  mets are trying to win

6:47

RKD49:  here comes papelbon

6:47

[Comment From TonyBones]

Agreed, it's just frustrating as a fan.

6:47

[Comment From jack philipoom]

Hooray the pirates win. Three cherers, hip hip . . .

6:47

[Comment From Jack H.]

hooray!!!

6:47

[Comment From poopinator]

does magglio use any product in his hair?

6:48

RKD49:  what do you guys think about the mitchell report free
agents like Gibbons and Bonds?

6:49

[Comment From TonyBones]

I thought Gibbons was hurt...is he healthy now?

6:49

RKD49:  Looper has been awesome. He threw 175 innings last
year after coming out of the pen. Gibbons begged every team for a job, no takers

6:50

RKD49:  magglio uses soul glow

6:50

[Comment From Corey]

Hey Dibs, you live in LA. Ever get to go to Disneyland?

6:51

RKD49:  went to disney 3 weeks ago, love the Indiana Jones
ride, hate lines though

6:51

[Comment From TonyBones]

Didn't know that one. Isn't part of Gibbons' problem that he is not a real disciplined
hitter? Of course, being named in the report is not helping the cause.

6:51

[Comment From Jack H.]

Roids are bads, but government should stay out of pro sports. Baseball should do
random testing, more often for guys with heads that seem to grow over a season or
two. Magglio uses aqua net or LA looks gel

6:51

[Comment From mike]

im gonna tell mags you said that

6:52

[Comment From Kurt]

Someone broke my Russell Martin bobblehead... why would someon do that!!!>????

6:52

[Comment From Jack H.]

then barry and gibbons might not be in the situation of the unemployment line

6:53

[Comment From FRED]

Jeff Kent is definitely not a hall of famer.. what do you think?

6:53

[Comment From Matty K]

J-Gibb and Bonds should just retire. I love the Angels!

6:53

[Comment From Matt]

Have you ever met the rally monkey?

6:53

[Comment From JJ]

Has Leyland went insane?

6:53

[Comment From TonyBones]

Hey Rob, I read a lot of great things about Jay Bruce this offseason and once he
got called up he delivered to this point. What do you think of the guy?

6:53

[Comment From Jack H.]

Leyland has been insane for many years now.

6:54

RKD49:  kent is one of the most productive 2nd baseman ever...Yes
he's a HOFer

6:54

[Comment From JB-Dodger lover]

That's right!!

6:54

[Comment From FRED]

First ballot?

6:54

[Comment From Wagner's beach ball]

Isn't it fathomable that Barry Bonds isn't on a team because he's a jerk?

6:55

RKD49:  Had him on my radio show 2 days ago...Great kid..Once
when he was 8 or 9 years old he called the Skydome trying to talk to Griffey jr...I
like him alot...He's very humble

6:56

[Comment From TonyBones]

I get the same impression that he is a good kid as well

6:56

RKD49:  First ballot every ballot...I never understand that....You
retire wait 5 years, then in some cases you don't get in like Goose Gossage...It's
not like Sutter and Goose got more saves or something...

6:58

[Comment From TonyBones]

Sutter and Goose got jerked around way too long, it was ridiculous. Speaking of
closers, is SF's Brian Wilson the best one we have not heard of?

6:58

FOXSports:  We've got a few minutes left, everyone.

6:58

RKD49:  I wouldn't want what comes along with Bonds, I would
rather have a solid young player I can count on for the future without the media
circus....But Bonds is still very entertaining, Like Reggie was at the end of his
career

6:58

[Comment From Jack H.]

They do it because they can, probably someone trying to win a bet with goose and
sutter

6:59

RKD49:  The fans should have a vote for the HOF

6:59

[Comment From John L]

Thanks for the time Rob had a great time hopefully you can do this again

7:00

[Comment From TonyBones]

Yes, thank you. Sorry I got in so late. This was fun for a few minutes. Keep up
the good work!

7:00

[Comment From Jack H.]

Thanks dibbs.

7:00

[Comment From Gus]

Hey , this is Gus. I work late night shifts. Is there a place to hear you at night?

7:00

[Comment From JJ]

I'd love to vote on HOF

7:01

RKD49:  The writers were brought in 70 years ago to promote
the HOF, now is you write for a paper for 10 years you get a vote. How does Vin
Scully not have a vote. Time to get into the 21st century.....

7:02

[Comment From eric]

Hey Rob- The angels have a big situation to deal with this off-season. Do they keep
K-Rod and pay him the millions he is asking for or do they put Arredondo at closer.
what are your thoughts?

7:05

FOXSports:  Thanks for joining us! We'll have another live
chat with Dibble next week. Click back to
