Angels activate reliever LaTroy Hawkins

Reliever LaTroy Hawkins has rejoined the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday after missing 30 games because of a broken right pinkie.

The Angels optioned reliever Bobby Cassevah to their Triple-A affiliate in Salt Lake City after activating Hawkins from the 15-day disabled list. Cassevah was 1-0 with a 7.20 ERA in four appearances with the Angels.

Hawkins fractured the finger on May 6 against Toronto while fielding a grounder. He was 0-1 with a 1.08 ERA in 10 appearances before the injury.

''We definitely missed what he could bring to our bullpen. We're excited to have him back,'' Angels manager Mike Scioscia said before Saturday's interleague game against Colorado.
