Michigan State faces Alabama in the Cotton Bowl to determine who gets one spot in the national title game, and the Spartans' D will be tasked with slowing Heisman Trophy RB Derrick Henry.

If MSU is going to upset the Tide, though, one key thing must happen and it's on the other side of the ball for the Spartans.
