Saban updates status of three injured players

Published Oct. 28, 2015 4:29 p.m. ET

The bye week is coming at the perfect time for the Tide, as the team appeared to be exhausted against Tennessee after eight consecutive weeks of football. With a game against undefeated LSU looming, head coach Nick Saban is able to rest up players in need of a break.

Safeties Eddie Jackson and Ronnie Harrison went down to injury in the Tide's latest win against Tennessee, how are they doing this week?

"Eddie practice a little bit today, but we think he'll get better every day and probably be back in a day or two," Saban said Tuesday. "Ronnie Harrison is gonna be in a boot for a couple days. We think by the end of the week, he'll be OK."

Right tackle Dominick Jackson also suffered an injury against the Vols.

"Dominick Jackson, same injury that Cam (Robinson) had last year against Tennessee, had the same procedure done on it. Cam played against LSU, I don't know if Dominick will be able to play or not. That's gonna be day-by-day, probably about a week's rest to see how he responds."

Having all three back for the Tigers would be big for Alabama, as they'll likely need all the help they can get stopping Leonard Fournette and company.
