Alabama's Drake claims Georgia comments were taken out of context
Kenyan Drake took to Twitter on Friday to follow up on the comments he made to the Macon Telegraph on Thursday about his reasoning for choosing Alabama over Georgia in the recruiting process.
Drake, a junior running back out of Powder Springs, Ga., who has been named to the preseason All-SEC third team, said the following when asked about his decision to go out of state and play for the Tide:
"I think it was because of the fact that it was Alabama and I like to be a winner," Drake told the Macon Telegraph. "Honestly, at the end of the day, going to Alabama would put me in the best position to be the person I want to be on and off the field."
Georgia fans didn't take well to the "winner" remark, and the comments went viral. So Drake responded Friday with a tweet:
Everything is always taken out of context lol go figure https://t.co/8AC21bTfdw

As for whether his words were actually taken out of context, only Drake and the reporter would know. But regardless, Drake really has no need to defend himself.
Alabama was coming off a national title season when Drake signed with the Tide, and they won another championship in his freshman year. Georgia has been a strong program, no doubt, but as far as winning big at the highest level, it'd be hard to argue with Drake's decision.
