We may have found the worst fan tattoo of the year

Newcastle United haven’t won any silverware in England since the 1955 FA Cup. That's over 60 years ago, so naturally some fans of the Toon have started to get a bit desperate.

That begins to explain, but certainly does not excuse, what one uber-confident Magpie did to his body after his side's 6-0 win in the League Cup against Preston North End. Just look at this tattoo:

Two main takeaways here:

1)   There might not be a sadder tattoo than a League Cup Winners tattoo.

2)   Hey, Einstein? 2016 is THIS YEAR. Manchester City have already won the 2016 League Cup.

At least the fan knew he was doing something extremely dumb, Tweeting a prophetic “I’m about to make a very stupid choice” a couple hours before getting inked.

It seems he just didn’t know the extent of the stupidity at the time.
