Kevin Lankinen - Set to start Saturday Lankinen was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports, indicating he will patrol the home crease Saturday versus Ottawa.
Impact Lankinen stopped 18 of the 20 shots he faced in Thursday's loss to Vegas. He has a 14-5-3 record with three shutouts, a 2.50 GAA and a .912 save percentage across 22 appearances this season. Ottawa has won five straight games and is tied with Vancouver for 14th in the league with 3.09 goals per game.

Impact Heinen has collected two goals and two assists over his last five contests. The Canucks are getting more offense out of their depth players than their stars lately, with Heinen being a prime example of that, though the 29-year-old was in a deep rut prior to his more recent success. He's up to 14 points, 30 shots on net, 37 hits, 20 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating through 32 appearances this season, mainly as a bottom-six option.

Kiefer Sherwood - Adds assist in loss Sherwood registered an assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Impact Sherwood hadn't earned an assist since Nov. 23 versus the Senators, but he had picked up five goals over his last seven contests. The 29-year-old winger also continues to be a physical force -- his three hits Thursday matched his season low, a mark he's logged seven times in 32 games. Sherwood has 18 points, 63 shots on net, a plus-9 rating and 194 hits. No player has reached the 400-hit mark in a single season, but that's a threshold Sherwood would easily surpass if he stays on his current pace, considering he's averaging just over six per game.

Teddy Blueger - Nets lone goal in loss Blueger scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Impact Blueger opened the scoring at 8:15 of the first period, but that was all the Canucks could muster against Adin Hill. The 30-year-old Blueger hadn't scored since Nov. 23, a span of 12 games without a goal. During that stretch, he produced four assists while playing in a bottom-six role. The Latvian forward is at five goals, 10 helpers, 38 shots on net, 45 hits, 21 blocked shots and 15 PIM through 32 contests this season, giving him some value in deeper fantasy formats.

Impact Lankinen returned from an illness and put in a good effort to keep the game even through two periods. William Karlsson had the game-winning goal early in the third period, sending Lankinen to his third loss in his last five outings. The 29-year-old netminder dropped to 14-5-3 with a 2.50 GAA and a .912 save percentage over 22 games. Thatcher Demko will likely start Saturday versus the Senators, and it's possible the Canucks opt for some sort of timeshare in the crease now that both goalies are healthy.
