Aldon Smith active for Raiders debut vs. Bengals

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) Aldon Smith is active for the season opener just two days after signing with the Oakland Raiders.

The troubled pass rusher is set to make his Raiders debt on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Smith was released last month by San Francisco after his latest run-in with the law and signed with Oakland on Friday.

The other inactive players for the Raiders are linebacker Benson Mayowa, receiver Brice Butler, cornerback Dexter McDonald, running back Roy Helu Jr., offensive linemen Jon Feliciano and Matt McCants and tight end Gabe Holmes.

The inactive players for the Bengals are receivers Greg Little and Mario Alford; cornerback Josh Shaw; tight end C.J. Uzomah; defensive linemen Marcus Hardison, Brandon Thompson and Margus Hunt.
