Impact According to Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Love has previously disclosed to reporters that he's vaccinated, which means his placement on the list is the result of a breakthrough positive test. He'll be eligible to rejoin the Packers as soon as he's showing diminished symptoms of the virus and tests negative on two occasions at least 24 hours apart, giving him a chance to make it back in action as the backup to Aaron Rodgers for Sunday's game against the Bears. With Rodgers nursing a toe injury that will likely result in him sitting out portions of practice this week, practice squad quarterback Kurt Benkert could take most of the first-team reps over the next few days.

Impact After Rodgers' surprise placement on the list last week, Love picked up his first NFL start and generally struggled to move the chains in the Packers' 13-7 loss to the Chiefs, finishing with 19 completions on 34 attempts for 190 yards, a touchdown and an interception while adding 23 yards on the ground. Though Love continued to take all the first-team reps in practice this week while Rodgers remained isolated from the team, the reigning MVP took part in virtual meetings and performed conditioning drills on his own to stay prepared to start. Even if Love had fared better in his first extensive NFL action last week, he was always unlikely to pick up another start so long as Rodgers was activated when first eligible.

Struggles in first start Love completed 19 of 34 pass attempts for 190 yards, one touchdown and one interception against Kansas City on Sunday.

Impact Love also ran for 23 yards on five carries. He seemed to struggle to identify pressure pre-snap and often made errant throws when the subsequent post-snap pressure caught him by surprise, but at times when he had blocking he made a handful of encouraging throws. The interception was nearly a completed pass to Davante Adams, but the throw was slightly off, and corner L'Jarius Sneed made a great play to snatch it from Adams. There was never any doubt that this is Aaron Rodgers' team when healthy, but Love all but confirmed Sunday that he needs more development before he might be able to cash in on his otherwise substantial athletic talent.
