Impact Love played all three drives in the first half and one more in the third quarter, failing to put up any points despite moving the ball with relative ease. The Packers were stuffed at the goal line on fourth down on their opening drive, and Mason Crosby missed a 28-yard FG attempt on the second series. In between, Love spoiled an otherwise pretty drive when he heaved the ball into the end zone for an easy interception on 1st-and-10. He still has a lot to work on, but the past few weeks represent progress after he struggled last summer and then spent his rookie season buried in the No. 3 spot on the depth chart. Love now moves up to No. 2 in what could be Aaron Rodgers' final season with the Packers.

Impact Love injured his right throwing shoulder on a strip sack preseason Week 1, which has held him out of drills in the meantime. LaFleur noted Love got in some tosses with the training staff this past week, per Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, and if all goes well Monday, the second-year signal-caller may get some work in team drills at Tuesday's session. Love hasn't been ruled out of the Packers' exhibition finale next Saturday at Buffalo, but his availability for the contest likely is contingent on how he progresses in the coming days.

Impact LaFleur also said that Love resumed throwing in at least some capacity Tuesday, and that his shoulder will be tested again Wednesday, but he declined to offer any updates about the second-year quarterback's status for Saturday's preseason game against the Jets. The Packers will "give [Love] every opportunity," per LaFleur, but "don't want to put him in a situation to make it worse." Love injured his shoulder during last weekend's exhibition matchup against the Texans, and though the MRI came back clean, Green Bay clearly intends to approach his recovery with caution. Kurt Benkert and Jacob Dolegala will continue to see increased reps as long as Love is sidelined.
