He subsequently missed the next three games, but he's been active for the past two outings, logging at least 50 percent of snaps on both occasions en route to a combined 44 touches for 215 yards from scrimmage and one receiving TD. Last week, Mitchell followed up a DNP on Wednesday with a limited session Thursday and full practice Friday before being cleared of a designation entirely for San Francisco's eventual Week 18 win at the Rams. At the very least, he appears as if he'll have some practice limitations ahead of Sunday's wild-card game in Dallas.

Assuming Mitchell gains clearance to play this weekend at the Rams -- whether it's on Friday's injury report or prior to Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff -- he should remain San Francisco's lead running back Week 18.
