Lakers reportedly no longer in running for Aldridge
It appears the Los Angeles Lakers are out of the LaMarcus Aldridge sweepstakes.
The sought-after free agent met with the Lakers on Wednesday but disliked the basketball part of their presentation, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Earlier reports indicated that Aldridge’s meeting went well and Lakers star Kobe Bryant was happy with the get-together. But the report paints a different picture.

Aldridge and Bryant didn’t quite jel, and Aldridge apparently didn’t get the answers he wanted from the five-time NBA champion, according to the report. Aldridge asked Bryant how he thought the duo would play together and Kobe compared it to his dynamic with Pau Gasol, according to ESPN.
The Spurs appeared to make the most of their meeting with the free-agent big man. Aldridge was most impressed with San Antonio’s presentation followed closely behind the Houston Rockets, Yahoo Sports/FOX Sports 1 NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported.
