Loses no-hitter in ninth, takes loss Ginn (2-2) took the loss against the Angels on Monday, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out 10 batters over eight-plus innings.
Impact Ginn absolutely dominated through eight frames, holding the Angels without a hit while racking up a career-high 10 strikeouts. The game was tied 0-0 heading into the ninth, but the Athletics managed a run in the top of the inning to give Ginn a shot at history. In an absolutely brutal ending to a fantastic outing, Ginn gave up a leadoff single to Adam Frazier to lose the no-hitter before Zach Neto tagged him for a two-run, walk-off homer. Ginn's start will be most remembered for the way it ended, but fantasy managers who roster him should take solace in the strength of his overall performance. He not only picked up third straight quality start but also demonstrated improved swing-and-miss stuff with 14 whiffs.

Limits damage in win Ginn (2-1) allowed one unearned run on nine hits and a walk while striking out three over six innings to earn the win over the Cardinals on Wednesday.
Impact Ginn got away with pitching to contact in this outing. He threw 63 of 95 pitches for strikes and came away with his second quality start in a row. The right-hander is now at a 3.12 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 34:16 K:BB through 43.1 innings over 10 appearances (seven starts) this season. Ginn can be useful in fantasy in favorable matchups, and he'll have one of those in his next projected start, which is lined up to be on the road versus the Angels early next week.

Last Night in Baseball: Athletics Annihilate the Phillies
Completes eight frames in victory Ginn (1-1) earned the win over Philadelphia on Thursday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over eight innings.
Impact The Athletics staked Ginn to a 4-0 lead after half an inning, and the right-hander never let Philadelphia back in the game. He needed just 96 pitches to complete a career-high eight frames, with the only run against him coming on a fourth-inning long ball by Kyle Schwarber. Ginn yielded a season-worst five runs over 4.1 innings in his previous start, so the A's had to be thrilled to see him bounce back in such a big way. For a back-of-the-rotation arm he's faring pretty well overall this season, holding a 3.62 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 31:15 K:BB across 37.1 innings.

Ineffective in loss Ginn (0-1) allowed five runs on five hits and five walks while striking out four over 4.1 innings to take the loss Friday versus the Guardians.
Impact The five walks were a season high for Ginn, who threw 50 of 88 pitches for strikes. The right-hander experienced shoulder soreness in his previous start, but his workload Friday suggests he wasn't facing any limitations. Across eight outings (five starts), he has a 4.30 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 23:14 K:BB through 29.1 innings. Ginn isn't likely to dazzle often on the mound, instead serving as a No. 4 or 5 starter. His next start is tentatively expected to be on the road in Philadelphia.

Deemed healthy after short start Ginn (shoulder) was deemed healthy by the Athletics' training staff Tuesday following his shortened start Sunday against Texas, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Impact Ginn exited in the fourth inning against the Rangers with right shoulder soreness, but all tests have come back clean, and the right-hander will throw his normal bullpen Wednesday. Ginn has enjoyed a fine start to his 2026 season, logging a 3.24 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 19:9 K:BB across 25 innings. Assuming he makes it through his bullpen without issue, Ginn should be lined up to make a start in the upcoming weekend set with the Guardians.

Injury-shortened start Sunday Ginn left Sunday's start against the Rangers in the fourth inning with right shoulder soreness, Dave Sessions of MLB.com reports.
Impact Ginn cruised through three scoreless frames before hitting Evan Carter with a pitch with one out in the bottom of the fourth. The right-handed pitcher then appeared to be favoring his right side after delivering a 94.1 mph sinker to Jake Burger at the plate, and he was ultimately forced to exit the contest as a result. Manager Mark Kotsay explained following the team's 2-1 victory that Ginn was dealing with "some form of a stinger in the shoulder area" and that the team wasn't going to "risk anything further." The team is expected to reevaluate Ginn's health Monday.
