Walks five in win Ginn (7-4) allowed one run on three hits and five walks while striking out four over six innings to earn the win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.
Impact Ginn's control wasn't great, but he limited the damage to a Freddie Freeman solo home run in the third inning. This was Ginn's fourth win in his last five outings, a span in which he's allowed 14 runs (12 earned) over 29 innings. On the year, he has a 3.04 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 82:41 K:BB over 94.2 innings through 19 appearances (16 starts). While he's allowing a few too many baserunners to be truly dominant, he's getting timely outs to avoid too much damage. Ginn will look to keep rolling on the road versus the Tigers next week.

Bounces back in rematch Ginn (6-4) allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings to earn the win over the Angels on Friday.
Impact Ginn earned a quality start with this outing, his third such performance over five games in June. He's allowed 14 runs (12 earned) over 29 innings this month while adding a 26:10 K:BB. The right-hander is now at a 3.15 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 78:36 K:BB through 88.2 innings over 18 appearances (15 starts). Ginn frequently allows too many hits, but he's done a fairly good job at limiting damage throughout the year. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Dodgers in what's likely to be a challenging matchup.

Falls to Halos Ginn (5-4) took the loss against the Angels on Saturday, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five batters over 5.1 innings.
Impact Ginn tossed a 1-2-3 first inning but mostly struggled after that. He gave up a pair of runs in the second, escaped a bases-loaded jam in the third and put two runners on base in the sixth, both of whom scored following the hurler's departure. Ginn had tossed at least six innings in six of his previous eight appearances coming into Saturday, so this was a relatively short outing by his recent standards. The right-hander still holds a strong 3.16 ERA through 82.2 frames on the season, and he'll look to get back into the win column his next time out, which is tentatively slated to be a rematch against the Angels.

Earns fifth win Ginn (5-3) earned the win Monday, allowing an unearned run on six hits and two walks over six innings against the Pirates. He struck out three.
Impact Ginn didn't generate many strikeouts, but he handled the Pirates' offense well, with their lone run against him coming unearned in the fourth inning on the heels of a Zack Gelof error. Monday marked a nice rebound effort for Ginn, who was tagged for five runs in his previous outing against the Brewers, though that start came at the infamously hitter-friendly Las Vegas Ballpark. It has been a stellar campaign for the right-hander by all accounts, as he'll take a 2.91 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 68:32 K:BB across 77.1 innings (16 appearances) into his next start, tentatively scheduled for Saturday against the Angels.

Allows five runs in win Ginn (4-3) allowed five runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out five over 5.2 innings to earn the win over the Brewers on Tuesday.
Impact Ginn wasn't all that good, but he did better than opposing starter Robert Gasser, who got tagged for six runs, including four home runs. This was just the second time all season Ginn has allowed more than three runs. He's now at a 3.15 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 65:30 K:BB across 71.1 innings through 15 appearances (12 starts) on the year. He's projected to make his next start against the Rockies in Las Vegas, assuming the Athletics use Thursday's off day to skip the open fifth spot in their rotation.

Let down by bullpen after QS Ginn completed six innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Thursday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk while striking out eight batters.
Impact Ginn was outstanding Thursday, holding Chicago scoreless until Pete Crow-Armstrong tagged him for a solo homer in the sixth inning. That proved to be the righty hurler's final frame, though he was at only 88 pitches and held a 4-1 lead when he was pulled. Ginn had his swing-and-miss stuff working, racking up 19 whiffs and eight punchouts, and he looked to be on his way to a victory until the Athletics' bullpen gave up four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning. Despite having to settle for a no-decision, Ginn recorded his fifth quality start over his past six outings, and he hasn't given up more than two runs in any appearance over that span. He'll enter his next start, which lines up to be a home matchup against Milwaukee, holding a strong 2.74 ERA and 1.08 WHIP along with a 60:27 K:BB through 65.2 innings spanning 14 appearances (11 starts).

Rebounds well with win over Yankees Ginn (3-3) allowed one unearned run on four hits and three walks while striking out four over six innings to earn the win over the Yankees on Saturday.
Impact Ginn rebounded well after his shortest start of the year, in which he walked six batters over 2.1 no-hit innings. The right-hander walked multiple batters for the fourth time this season, but the Yankees were largely unable to take advantage. This was his fourth quality start over six outings in May, and he's now at a 2.87 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 52:26 K:BB through 59.2 innings over 13 appearances (10 starts) this season. Ginn is tentatively projected to make his next start at Houston.

Struggles with command in loss Ginn (2-3) allowed two runs over 2.1 hitless innings while striking out four and walking six to take the loss versus the Padres on Saturday. He also hit one batter.
Impact Ginn's command was almost completely absent in this outing, which comes in his first start after he flirted with a no-hitter. The right-hander has had occasional mishaps with command, as this is the third time he's walked four or more batters in an outing this season. It led to an early exit -- he needed 73 pitches (40 strikes) to get his seven outs Saturday in his shortest start of the year. He's now at a 3.19 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 48:23 K:BB through 53.2 innings over 12 appearances (nine starts). Assuming there was no injury reason for his wildness, Ginn is projected to make his next start at home versus the Yankees.
