Creighton vs. St. John's highlights: Red Storm win 1st Big East Tournament since 2000
St. John's beat Creighton 82-66 to capture the Big East Tournament title for the first time since 2000. It's also the first time since 1986 that the Red Storm won both the Big East regular season and tournament titles. St. John's missed the NCAA Tournament last season, but should be on track to earn a two-seed in the Big Dance after going 30-4 and 18-2 in the Big East.
In just his second season at St. John's, head coach Rick Pitino has ended the Red Storm's five-year NCAA Tournament drought and 25-year Big East Tournament title drought.
The Red Storm will take a nine-game winning streak into the Tournament. Creighton's valiant effort in the Big East Tournament gives the Bluejays momentum, but they will have to wait to hear what seed they've earned.
