Joson Sanon - Scores 12 in Saturday's loss
Sanon chipped in 12 points (0-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 12-12 FT), two rebounds and two steals over 19 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 78-66 loss to Kentucky.
Impact
Sanon made his eighth consecutive start Saturday and contributed double digit points in his third straight outing. He remarkably did so without making a single shot from the field, instead earning all of his points by going a perfect 12 for 12 from the free throw line. He did not do much else versus the Wildcats, in part because he only logged 19 minutes of playing time. While his ability to get to the charity stripe was impressive, he'll look to hit more shots from the field Tuesday versus Harvard.

Bryce Hopkins - Falling shy of expectations
Hopkins ended with 13 points (4-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), three rebounds, one assist and three steals across 29 minutes during Saturday's 78-66 loss to Kentucky.
Impact
It's been a tale of two seasons so far for Hopkins. Over his first six games of the season, he posted 17.3 ppg, but that mark sits at just 9.8 ppg over his last five despite seeing a similar number of minutes. It's possible his comeback effort has hit a bit of a wall, or he simply isn't the same player he was prior to suffering multiple serious injuries in the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons. He and the Red Storm have one more non-conference game against Harvard on Tuesday before Big East play ramps up the following week.

Zuby Ejiofor - Solid in Tuesday's win
Ejiofor had nine points (3-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, four blocks and one steal across 30 minutes during Tuesday's 79-66 win over DePaul.
Impact
Ejiofor did not light up the stat sheet Tuesday, but he put together another solid performance for the Red Storm. After blocking 16 shots over his last two games he blocked another four versus DePaul in the Big East opener, bringing his average up to 2.8 per game this season. He scored under 10 points in his second straight game, and that's a trend that could continue since he's only attempting about eight field goals per game. Still, his rebounding and defensive contributions make him a valuable asset, especially because he has proven he can also breakout on the offensive end.

Oziyah Sellers - Leads St. John's in win
Sellers totaled 19 points (7-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 30 minutes during Saturday's 91-64 win over Iona.
Impact
Sellers hit a bit of a slump with a rise in competition, as he was just 3-for-15 from the field over his last two games against Auburn and Ole Miss. A matchup against Iona was just what the doctor ordered, as the senior guard got hot from distance and led the Red Storm in scoring. Next up is a Big East matchup against DePaul on Tuesday.

Ian Jackson - Scores 14 in start
Jackson closed with 14 points (4-11 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, three assists and three steals over 27 minutes during Saturday's 91-64 victory over Iona.
Impact
Jackson jumped back into the starting five for the first time since the season opener, replacing Dylan Darling, who recorded just nine minutes in the contest. The end result was a season-best minutes total for the sophomore transfer from UNC, in addition to his best scoring total in the last three games. Next up is a conference matchup against DePaul on Tuesday.

Lefteris Liotopoulos - Tallies career-high 10 points
Liotopoulos finished with 10 points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), two rebounds and one steal in 15 minutes during Saturday's 91-64 win over Iona.
Impact
Liotopoulos tied his season-high of 15 minutes in the blowout win over Iona, but he was able to do more with the amplified usage as he recorded a career-best 10 points. The sophomore guard has been a depth option for the Johnnies so far this season, so it's unknown if he'll be a meaningful rotator in closer games to come.

Dylan Darling - Not starting Saturday
Darling is not included in the starting rotation for Saturday's game against Iona, Zach Braziller of the New York Post reports.
Impact
Darling will be looking to make in impact off the bench after starting the previous six matchups. The junior guard has averaged 4.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists on 20.1 minutes across seven appearances. Ian Jackson will get the opportunity in the starting lineup.

Casper Pohto - Shut down for remainder of season
Pohto (hip) is out for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, per Zach Braziller of the New York Post.
Impact
Pohto, a freshman guard, had played sparingly for the Johnnies thus far in 2025-26, averaging 4.5 minutes across the six games he saw action. His loss will impact the depth at the end of the bench in Queens, but little else.

Dylan Darling - Good to go Saturday
Darling (hamstring) is good to go for Saturday's matchup versus Ole Miss, per Kevin Connelly of D1 Media Pro.
Impact
Darling is healthy again after picking up a hamstring injury during the team's Nov. 26 loss to Auburn. He should continue serving as the team's starting point guard after averaging 4.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists across his first six outings.
