Impact Vidal led the Trojans in carries on Saturday and averaged 5.4 yards a pop on the day. He was also responsible for Troy's longest rushing play of the day, a 37-yard sprint that ended in the endzone. While B.J. Smith and Jamontez Woods each got 10 or more carries, Vidal is RB1 in Troy until further notice.

Taylor Powell - Shines in opener Powell completed 17 of 28 passes for 234 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Saturday's 55-3 win over Southern. He also had one carry for one yard and a touchdown.
Impact The Missouri transfer was strong in his first game as a Trojan, completing 61 percent of his passes and connecting with Tez Johnson and Deshon Stoudemire for touchdowns. His one interception did come in the red zone, but the junior bounced right back and followed his mistake up with two consecutive touchdown-scoring drives. An intriguing opportunity for Troy to make a statement comes next week when the Liberty Flames come to Veterans Memorial Stadium.
