Brett Eskildsen - Pair of catches in second game Eskildsen gathered in all two targets for 77 yards during Saturday's 55-7 win over South Dakota.
Impact Eskildsen followed up his impressive Week 0 performance with a pair of catches in the blowout win over the Coyotes. It will be interesting to see if the young sophomore can become a reliable target for QB Rocco Becht as the season progresses. Iowa State will play Iowa next week.

Kyle Konrardy - Nails school-record 63-yard FG Konrardy nailed both field goal attempts and all four of his extra-point tries during Saturday's 55-7 victory over South Dakota.
Impact Konrardy hit a school-record 63-yard field goal which goes down as the second longest kick in Big 12 history. Through the first two games, the redshirt sophomore is already 3-of-4 on kicks and the one he missed was in the elements. Iowa State will play Iowa next week and field goal opportunities are expected in that contest.

Benjamin Brahmer - Two scores in blowout win Brahmer reeled in all seven targets for 47 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 55-7 win against South Dakota.
Impact Brahmer has already matched his season-high mark for touchdowns through just two games. It could be a breakout season for the tall tight end who creates matchup nightmares in the red zone. All three of QB Rocco Becht's touchdowns went to the tight end position as teammate Gabe Burkle also scored against the Coyotes. Look for both Brahmer and Burkle to receive a handful of opportunities when the team plays in-state rival Iowa next week.

Gabe Burkle - Reaches paydirt in Week 1 Burkle caught all four targets for 85 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 55-7 victory over South Dakota.
Impact Burkle added his second touchdown with the Cyclones as he also had a score in the team's bowl game against Miami last season. He's been busy to start the year with 10 targets. It appears that QB Rocco Becht has an affinity for his tight ends, so look for Burkle to continue to see opportunities when the team takes on Iowa next week.

Xavier Townsend - Scores rushing TD in blowout win Townsend hauled in all three targets for 34 yards during Saturday's 55-7 win over South Dakota. He also added a 11-yard rushing touchdown.
Impact Townsend recorded his first rushing touchdown since 2022 when he scored at Tulane in Week 14 as a member of UCF. The transfer didn't see much work in Week 0 but did get four touches against South Dakota. It will be interesting to see how his target share progresses as the season goes on. Iowa State will have a much tougher opponent in in-state rival Iowa next week.

Carson Hansen - Ten touches in blowout win Hansen accrued nine rushes for 19 yards and reeled in his only target for seven yards during Saturday's 55-7 win over South Dakota.
Impact Hansen wasn't asked to do much against the Coyotes as Iowa State scored early and often. It was likely a strategic move for the Cyclones to rest one of their best offensive players as they gear up for their in-state rivalry game with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Hansen was not a prominent part of the offensive gameplan yet when they played last year as he had just two carries for two yards and two catches for five yards. He'll look to have a much bigger impact this year.

Abu Sama III - Adds score on limited touches Sama tallied three carries for 23 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 55-7 win versus South Dakota.
Impact Sama received just three carries, however, took full advantage of the limited opportunities with his first touchdown of the season. With the Cyclones having Iowa on the schedule next week, they made sure not to utilize their top running backs too much. Sama and Carson Hansen will likely bounce back with much more carries in that in-state rivalry game next week.
