Cam Porter - Efficient rushing in loss Porter had six carries for 46 yards in Saturday's 23-3 loss at Tulane.

Impact Porter had the most carries in the backfield and averaged 7.7 yards per carry, but the running game wasn't utilized after Northwestern fell far behind early. Porter may have limited upside for fantasy purposes as the Wildcats look like they'll split carries between Porter, Joseph Himon and Caleb Komolafe. Porter may get the most touches out of the backfield and goal-line carries, however.

Preston Stone - Struggles in Northwestern debut Stone was 19-of-36 passing for 161 yards with no touchdowns and four interceptions in Saturday's loss at Tulane. He also lost a fumble.

Impact Stone didn't look like the quarterback who threw for 3,197 yards, 28 touchdowns and six interceptions in 2023 with SMU, as he had the worst performance of his career in his Wildcats debut. Stone didn't get much help from a leaky offensive line, but still had many off-target throws. Stone will get a chance to rebound next week with a home game against Western Illinois.

Impact Considering that Tulane's depth chart did not include Thompson, Week 1 without him is not surprising. The ex-quarterback, currently a tight end, will continue to sit out indefinitely.
