Xavier Townsend - Joining Boilermakers Townsend has committed to play for Purdue for the 2026 season, per Chris Hummer of 247Sports.com.

Impact Townsend will join the Boilermakers following a single season with Iowa State. The 5-foot-11 receiver appeared in nine games for the Cyclones in 2025, catching 18 passes for 243 scoreless yards while adding 18 yards and a rushing score on the ground as well. The former UCF transfer will retain a single year of eligibility with Purdue.

Impact Ijeboi is coming off a very solid year in his redshirt freshman season with the Gophers. He ran for 441 yards and two touchdowns on 4.5 yards per carry. He'll take three seasons of eligibility with him to West Lafayette.

Considering how dire the Boilermakers' needs at offensive playmaker are, Waseem should have every opportunity to start next fall.

Impact Gibson heads to Purdue after two seasons with Texas. He played in four games during 2025 before redshirting. Over those two seasons, he totaled 429 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. He'll look to secure a bigger role in the Boilermakers' offense in 2026.

Impact Ryan Browne targeted Tuggle 11 times, marking the sophomore's best target share this season. It was also Tuggle's highest yardage total of his college career. He served as an excellent target for Ryan Browne, accruing 35 catches for 507 yards and four touchdowns over four games. He'll remain one of Purdue's top receivers if he remains with the team.

Impact Although the Hoosiers kept Purdue's offense from scoring a touchdown, Browne's passing totals weren't horrible. HE threw a pick, but still mustered 238 passing yards in the rout. Browne's sophomore season can best be described as a mixed bag, and although he threw for 2,153 yards and nine touchdowns, he also threw 10 picks and completed only 58.9 percent of his passes. He flashed some dual-threat capability with 206 yards and four touchdowns on the ground, but the team struggled often on both sides of the ball. Browne's hold on the starting job is unclear for the coming season.
