Impact After totaling just one reception (for zero yards) in his first two games this year, Thompson appears to have developed some chemistry with quarterback Taron Dickens. The senior wideout finished the day with the second-most receiving yards on the team, thanks in large part to a 52-yard touchdown grab that gave NIU a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. After spending his first two seasons with the Huskies, Thompson transferred to Mississippi State last year where he failed to record any stats, prompting a return to NIU.
